I love seeing images of fireworks around the world in celebration of the New Year. Not only are they awesome sights, but they also remind us that people everywhere have a custom in common, standing outside to express happiness and excited hope for the new year. It seems that no matter what is happening on the ground, people take a moment to look into the sky. Even in Ukraine, people paused to celebrate with sparklers; what a wonderful sight.
Let’s look at great fireworks in places that we’ve visited together here on Art and Design 101. In our first article published almost two years ago, we talked about the ancient Greeks, so here is the Parthenon in Athens. https://artanddesign101.com/what-is-art/Embed from Getty Images
Our second article took us to the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. https://artanddesign101.com/origins-of-art-museums-royalty-2/Embed from Getty Images
Then we talked about Versailles.
In our third article, we traveled to New York City. https://artanddesign101.com/origins-of-american-art-museums/
In our ninth article, we visited Milan’s Cathedral. https://artanddesign101.com/the-last-supper/Embed from Getty Images
